I graduated as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist from Body College Galway in June 2024 and I am a member of to the Irish Association of Craniosacral Therapists - www.iacst.ie offering craniosacral healing and holistic healing
My background is in nursing, having qualified in 1988, I worked extensively in Oncology and Haematology, including adult and paediatric bone marrow and stem cell transplantation. I also studied and worked in cancer genetics.
I have worked in the USA, Ireland, and the UK.
More recently, I was a primary carer for a family member living with dementia.
Since leaving nursing, I worked with my brother, who owns and runs his own café. Over five years, I baked, made coffee, prepared food, and managed the daily and weekly supply purchases.
After that, I completed a part-time Diploma in Speciality Food Production at UCC over two years. I took the course to support the small jam-making business I had started at home.
Around this time, I developed a strong interest in growing food and organic methods of food production. I began growing some of my own fruit for my jams and started working at Galway Market with an organic grower, helping her sell organic fruit and vegetables. I stayed in that role until December 2023, working one day a week at the farm shop in Moycullen and one day in Galway Market.
In 2022, I attended the 12-week cookery course at Ballymaloe Cookery School.
I am as passionate about food and plants as I am about healing.
I have also completed a three-year apprenticeship – The Way of the Wise Healer – with Carole Guyett at Derrynagittah in Co. Clare. This apprenticeship is for those called to walk a sacred and magical path with the plant world. It was a deep journey into the healing wisdom of plants and the sacred art of ceremony.
I was ordained as a priestess in August 2024, taking on the spirit name Dances with Dogs, a reflection of my connection to the natural and animal worlds.
